Pathway 3 Lactation Intern Providing Supervised Lactation Support in Tennessee

My passion to work with mothers and babies first ignited when working as a NICU and newborn nursery nurse. After becoming a mother myself to my two sweet girls, I realized first hand the beautiful bond that is created during the breastfeeding journey. I faced breastfeeding and postpartum challenges with both of my girls, and am so grateful for the lactation support we received that helped us gain confidence and reach our goals. I felt led to become an IBCLC so I could continue to walk alongside families while providing education, tools, and expertise in breastfeeding and newborn care. 

It is an honor to be invited into a family's life, in the comfort of their own home, during such an important time. I hope to bring the same encouragement, support, and empathy that have been blessed to me during such a special beginning.
