I am currently an intern at Blessed Beginnings to become an IBCLC. I recently completed my master's degree in Speech Pathology this past May, and I noticed a gap in services for babies who were having trouble feeding. As an SLP, my scope of practice solely focused on bottle feeding skills for babies who presented with difficulty feeding. I noticed talking with these moms that they felt defeated in their breast feeding journey and I did not have the qualifications to aid them.

I wanted to be able to help those who wanted to continue their breast feeding journey and potentially close that gap! Healthy babies come first, but if I can help someone reach their goal of being able to breastfeed, that would be worth it to me!
